WHERE'D YOU GET THE CHICKEN HAT FROM

So we leave to the airport with like maybe an hour and fifteen minutes til the flight leaves when of course the tire explodes into like a million pieces. Actually it was just flat. Anyway, this guy Conrad totally saved my ass and picked me up even though he didn't know me and totally drove me to the airport andI got there just in time.

Strangely enough this kid Alder that used to trainspot at the Tube at No No Disco on Tuesdays was on my flight, also moving to New York on a whim. Unfortunately I had to carry my FIFTY FUCKING POUND record flightcase with me as carryon [long boring story] which of course destroyed my back and made it impossible to sleep. Flight felt like this son NO JOKE:

Thnxxx for that video goes out to Tonia who's a totally slammin' person and she's CurtyV's grrrlfriend and she's totally BFF's with Fran in PDX. Go to Fran's nights anytime she DJs because she will KILL IT!

It was snowing when the plane landed which was fun for like two seconds until the cab I called didn't come for like an hour.

Ok so that's the bad part. Good part is my first view of Manhattan. I was looking at this totally bangin cemetery that was totally packed and thinking wow what a cool city of dead shit ... when we crested around this hill on the BQE when all of a sudden the view of the Manhattan skyline was slamming over the gravestones totally echoing the dead shit but in a much more living sort of way.

Then I bought a towel at the 99 cent store on graham that has nothing that's under 1.49. The excursion itself was fun because Alex M had posted earlier that she was eating MCD's and I totally decided to eat some fries in the rain which was a great and cold experience. A great and warm experience is when someone who just met you gives you a MetroCard as a welcome to New York present, Sara is 2sweet2breal!!!

So here's what I'm doing tonight:

And also this:

And here's yr themesong and ours for the rest of the night:

Frank I didn't get to say goodbye to you before you left so good bye and welcome to your new life.

I sent you an invitation to contribute to my food blog so if you eat anything in new york you can let us all know back here in portland.

There is one rule though, everything posted on there has to have an illustration because nobody reads anything unless there's pictures so if you dont want to draw anything in mspain or attach a photo or something then just save your post as a draft and I will draw something for you.

Also I change up the mp3 now and then when I get tired of it so maybe if you know good songs about food you can be a guest dj at my exclusive e-club on swankternet boulevard.

This sounds slammin' in every possible way!!! I will start brainstorming now. I had some good mac and cheese with gruyere in it today, and I think I'm going to cook some nice dinners for my hosts here coming up soon.
